Our client is not your typical start-up. They recently divested a portion of their business and are quickly and successfully re-establishing themselves within a new marketplace. They are still an industry-leading provider of software for analysis of individual and organizational behavior having created an information retrieval technology that provides accurate insight into individual, as well as organizational behavior. Their patented technology enables organizations to minimize risk by discerning not just language, but context across multiple sources of electronic data including emails, IMs, social networking postings, text messages and documents.
The company is now looking for a Marketing Director to focus on product marketing. This role will be tasked with developing market strategy and direction, as well as being the liaison between the customers and the internal development team. This is an individual contributor, roll-up your sleeves role, giving you the opportunity to work at the 10,000+ foot level, as well as the ground floor.
Who are we looking for?
• You must understand the nuances of a small start-up, including working with small teams, balancing the strategic and tactical needs of your work, and working with limited resources. • You must be equally comfortable in a high-level strategic role, as well as an individual contributor. • You must understand technology and evaluate its use and value for people, thinking of the most effective ways to market and package the technology. • You have experience introducing a new technology and creating a new category or product. You know who the early adopters are, and you go after them. • You must be passionate about technology. • You will be working with Ph.D. level professionals, so you must be able to work with a group of highly intellectual individuals without being intimidated.
If this sounds like the opportunity you are looking for, then we want to hear from you immediately. Please send your resume to vivi@peopleconnectstaffing with a cover letter highlighting your start-up experience and 1-2 examples of how you’ve worked with limited resources to effectively market products.
