Director, Sales (Advertising & Broadcasting) (6054NMS)

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

Our client, a national multicultural television network is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to motivate, train, and build a successful sales team. This sales organization is responsible for generating advertising sales from ad agencies and small businesses interested in generating revenue from local, diverse ethnic communities.

 

Our client is experiencing rapid growth and needs a dynamic sales executive to take them to the next level. The ideal candidates will be familiar with one or more of the Asian cultures they serve (Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Vietnamese, or South Asian). 

 

Your role:

  • Manage and perform sales and sales team activities on all levels
  • Develop, negotiate and approve sales prices and discounts
  • Collaborate with marketing department and local market staff
  • Develop and directly supervise sales staff nationally and locally
  • Collaborate with financial management to control sales budgets

 

Your experience:

  • Bachelor degree preferably in marketing or business
  • Experience dealing with ad agencies
  • 5-7 years of related experience selling to local markets
  • Ability to motivate and lead sales teams
  • Experience in developing sales and marketing strategies
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
