Our client has gone from a brilliant idea to a global powerhouse with $40 million in sales in just four years, by creating an innovative and incredibly user-friendly web-based product/service that already has more than a million customers, drawn from you-and-me regular folks as well as professionals who use the product and service in their business development.

Right now, we are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager who will report to their brand-new CMO, and who will be a key member of a stellar marketing team that will be doubling in size this year.
Your role is strategic and analytical, to gather information to help identify, define and launch the next generation of their platform and tools. You will guide roll-out across global markets by identifying market needs and desires, understanding what end users really want, and the competitive landscape. You will also need to be a strong leader, as you will lead the creation and execution of marketing launch plans, interacting with the technical, marketing customer services and biz dev staff to engage them and keep them on track and in the loop.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Be the champion of the customer, really having a deep understanding of who the customer is, and what the potential markets are across the globe • Analyze pricing and markets to position the products for launch and adoption • Work with product management to define produce requirements and features • Develop global product marketing strategy • Lead the product launch plans and positioning • Communicate new product introductions using webinars, road shows and the website • Participate in face-to-face customer meetings and external consumer events and trade shows aimed at the end users • Be the bridge of communication between marketing and product development.
The candidate we are looking for has:
• 7 to 10 years of product marketing experience with a successful consumer-oriented software or web applications company. • Great technical understanding in order to interface with engineering; you don't need to be hands-on, but you need to understand the technical process and release cycles. • Experience in defining and delivering localized products in a global marketplace. • A great track record creating and executing product marketing plans. • Great communication skills and a polished and inviting personal demeanor for interacting with customers. • Outstanding analytical skills, able to extract meaningful information via research and customers and to apply it to the strategic plans for product marketing. • Proven leadership ability and the ability to generate trust and inspire confidence with colleagues and customers.
