The ideal candidate will thrive on making decisions, being able to share their point of views and have conviction around these business-based, and not opinion-based views.

They will be experts at handling very senior conversations, creating and implementing processes, procedures and controls that improve client performance. In this role, being a consultant to manage value proposition and workflow, with excellent follow through and relationship building skills rather than hard core selling skills, is key to success.

The Director of Key Account Management’s primary responsibility will be to work directly with the largest accounts as well as supervise, train and lead a two-person junior account management team. They will be focused on driving the company’s revenue growth for our core business - through working with our global clients to enhance their overall revenue recapture through non-legitimate image usage online. In the last quarter, the company more than doubled its number of clients – so efficient and effective on-boarding will be a major initial focus, followed by ensuring on-going success.

This position will report to the VP of Global Marketing and Business Development and be a key member of the team and be expected to contribute in many areas, such as overseeing relationships with all external stakeholders and playing a key role in aligning internal and external resources. They will personally assume Key Account Management responsibility for two-four key clients.

• Improve client performance with their current territories, as well as evaluate and proactively improve their financial and productivity performance through a variety of means, including catalogue updating, territory expansion, existing territory process flows and facilitation of internal and external collection processes.
• Deliver specific revenue targets and manage additional performance measures related to account management and effectively use account management software systems.
• Take current client best-practices and create training and guidance materials that will be rolled out to your team to improve the overall performance for all clients.
• Institute monthly client status calls (in addition to more frequent conversations) and work with your team to create a standard process for these reviews and for account management in general.
• Work with the internal team to enhance and improve our customer facing account management software system and work to create proper training and guidance material.
• Work closely with our Legal Partners to ensure our clients understand the benefits and opportunities of using an outside third party to pursue infringements. For clients using Legal Partners you will evaluate their effectiveness. If needed, you may be called upon to help establish additional Legal Partners.
• Lead the negotiations for contract renewals for existing key clients and oversee renewals of your account managers. While the majority of the market uses our services, you will have the opportunity to sign on new boutique clients.

What You Will Bring To the Table:

• Experience building outstanding relationships with your B2B clients where they view you as an extension of their team – you help make them better – and you help them improve their overall financial and operational performance.
• Managed Key Accounts that were a strategic imperative for your company.
• Experience managing account managers or sales teams.
• Proven track record in over-achieving budgeted revenue forecasts – there is plenty of growth room.
• Robust knowledge of Salesforce and can personally run analysis, produce reports, graphs, and effectively communicate strategic and operational conclusions.
• Experience handling multiple projects, multi-tasking efficiently and meeting deadlines.
• Extremely responsive and efficient with email communications (direct, to the point – no punting).
