Our client is an early-stage start-up taking media centers and cloud storage to a new level. Existing media centers and cloud storage solutions do not fully address the modern media consumers’ needs for storage, organization, searching, sharing and viewing media. Our client provides access anytime and anywhere to your personal media library as well as media from friends, family, and 3rd party sources; in essence, they create a complete social experience for hard core media users. Our client is now looking for a Front-End Engineer to join the founding team and lead the front-end development piece of the product. For the right person, this position could turn into a Lead Developer role. Your technical skills must include: • Minimum of 5+ years of solid software development experience • Excellent object oriented programming skills • Strong experience coding D/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS and Ajax • Strong experience programming graphical interfaces with a keen sense of understanding for the latest UI design • Strong experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Mootools • Experience with JSON API integration • B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Big pluses include: • Experience with Flash video applications and players • Experience with rich media, entertainment applications • Mobile application development.
