Our client is an established public company in Europe, led by innovative and successful entrepreneur that expanded last year into the U.S. market as a startup with venture backing. They have created a web plug-in for interactive avatars that allow a company’s website to interact with their customers through spoken dialog and text. The interface is the ideal self-service tool to offer an inexpensive alternative to expensive live operators, and offers sophisticated database capabilities and natural language processing technologies, as well as integration with web analytics and other business IT systems. So far, they have closed some very prestigious Fortune 100 customers in the U.S., and now they are ready for the next level of growth toward their goal of being a leading player in the CRM and ecommerce world, and so we are looking for an outstanding VP of Sales to join their team. You will be tasked with generating revenue from enterprise clients and managing lead generation initiatives, developing relationships with current prospects, and working on strategic partnerships and alliances with leading CRM, customer service and knowledge management platforms like Oracle, SAP and Salesforce. We are looking for someone who has at least five years of senior sales experience with customer service/CRM/self-service software, and who has built sales of a new technology from the ground up. They need a strategic thinking road warrior with a big picture view and the solid sales skills to close significant deals. An entrepreneurial nature is a must. Because most of the Fortune 100 client base is in the east and Midwest, they prefer someone on that side of the country, but are open to location. Compensation is competitive, with a very significant equity component in a company that is already listed in Europe.
