Our client is an early-stage company exploring mechanisms to improve how we work out in our homes through innovative products. They currently have several fast selling products and are in the process of developing more. At the core of the company is a group of dynamic, hard working individuals who balance work and play.
They need a talented COO/CFO that brings to the table a background in scalable manufacturing, quality control, and importing goods from China. The ideal candidate will understand how to maintain the current culture of the company along with the CEO, where employees like coming to work. This winning candidate will have worked for a well known company that does direct marketing with seasonal spikes, such as online, TV, Radio or other Web 2.0 methods.
The COO/CFO reports to the CEO and is responsible for the companys day-to-day operating activities, including capital management, expense and cost control and financial goal management. This position will work across all departmental units to plan, organize and execute business, operational and fiscal objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage scalability of production to sales volumes, while maintaining integrity of product quality. Assist with development and evaluation of the companys strategic plan. Develop and direct the overall financial/accounting activities and practices of the organization. Build and manage the operations and finance teams. Develop relationships, along with the CEO, with venture capitalists and/or angel investors and obtain financing at reasonable terms when it becomes necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting or related field. At least 10 years management experience with 5 years in an executive level position, strongly desired. 5 years of direct customer market goods manufacturing, seasonal goods a plus. Demonstrated excellent personnel, organizational, financial, leadership skills. Demonstrated experience in scalable manufacturing involving the launch of new products in short periods of time with on time delivery and tight quality control. Demonstrated ability to coordinate various tasks and priorities within a team atmosphere. Excellent skills in business, risk and market analysis with strong problem solving abilities. Outstanding customer service and investor relationship talent. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Background in financial management and manufacturing. Experience in at least one early stage start-up is strongly desired.
