SUNNYVALE, CA

Our client is an early stage startup with a fully functional innovative multi-dimensional online gaming platform that lets users integrate social networks with the gaming environment. With their first release, a 3D dashboard, social games are no longer trapped in the web browser, and users can play multiple social games simultaneously on a single screen, monitor game alerts visually, and update social network pages without leaving the game. This is very cool stuff. The prototype is complete, and is independent of specific games, and they have their first social network client signed and are customizing it for them. The bulk of the technical work is done and operational. So now they need a savvy, connected and social-gaming experienced CEO to step in to guide the company to the next level. We are looking for someone who has led startups in the social gaming space before, who knows how the angel and VC funding process works, and who has built and grown top-notch teams. First up will be fundraising, beginning with getting an already-pending seed round released, and then sourcing new VC and angel relationships for a Series A round. Reporting to the Board, you will work closely with the founder, a brilliant guy whose space industry experience got them to this point, who will remain with the company and will be focusing on business development. You will be in charge of just about everything else, oversee the marketing, promotion and delivery of the product. We are looking for executive experience in the social gaming or entertainment sectors, proven ability to lead a company to financial success, and a track record of venture fund raising and revenue generation. Because the company is early stage, and looking for funding, we are looking for someone who can work for increased equity in lieu of a paycheck until funding is complete.
