Jodi Milam, West Coast Director
Jodi Milam has been a recruiting professional for more than twenty years. An expert in “old-fashioned headhunting,” she has completed searches in high tech, emerging technologies, wireless, e-commerce and non-profit organizations. Her areas of expertise for corporate search assignments include Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Product Management, Operations, Finance and Technical.
An expert in the dynamics and challenges of contract recruiting, for PeopleConnect, Jodi focuses on special projects and business expansion, including being a key contributor to the growth of our staffing and contract placement services.
Leslie Ayres, Senior Executive Recruiter
Leslie joined PeopleConnect Staffing in 2003, bringing a diverse background that includes eighteen years of recruiting in the San Francisco Bay Area, operations management of a premier staffing and temporary service, and a stint as owner of a boutique staffing service during the dotcom boom.
A Certified Employment Specialist, Leslie has a direct and human approach to recruiting. With a focus on candidate selection, Leslie works to see potential candidates through her clients' eyes to ensure that finalists are the best possible fit for the company's objectives and culture, making the hiring process faster and more efficient for everyone.
Leslie has placed C-level executives and senior managers in Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, R&D and other specialized disciplines, as well as administrative and financial staff. She has facilitated strategic hires for software giants, biotech pioneers, medical firms, advertising agencies, not-for-profits and complex multinational corporations. Right now, Leslie has a special passion for working with innovative startups in the Web 2.0 space and cutting-edge technology.
An expert in the job-search process, Leslie also has a private practice coaching and presenting seminars in using a job change to get back on track toward important life goals. Her workshops and coaching programs make her a popular speaker to business and technical trade groups, and she fills the rest of her time with travel to Thailand and writing books.
Monique Turner-Brown, Senior Recruiter
Monique has been in recruiting, management and sales for more than fifteen years. In her recruiting role, she uses a consultative approach, and strives to make the perfect match for her candidates and clients by understand their individual needs, and aligning them to create a win-win situation for both sides. Monique has experience in temporary staffing and contingency direct-hire searches in many industries and disciplines, and continues to participate in industry-specific trainings.
A graduate of CSU Chico with a major in Liberal Studies, Monique is currently pursuing her Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix.
Karen Gore, PHR, Senior Recruiter
Karen has worked in Human Resources/Recruiting for more than eighteen years, acting as a strategic business partner with Fortune 500 and Global 100 companies to recruit top talent. She believes in creating a satisfying experience for both clients and candidates, working closely with all parties to learn the culture and expectations of the client and to learn the skills and desires of the candidates. Karen has been certified as a Professional in Human Resources since 1990 and has a BS in Business.
Her industry experience includes High Tech, Manufacturing, Education, Petroleum, Wood and Beverage. A wide range of positions she has filled include SVP of Operations, Controllers, VPs of Sales and Marketing, VPs of Operations and Administration, Sales, Marketing, R&D and Engineering. In the past she has done executive coaching, organizational development and succession planning.
When Karen is not hunting for quality candidates, she enjoys gardening, reading and learning about scientific advances in such fields as technology, energy, and space.
Vivi Fenwick, Senior Recruiter
Vivi Fenwick has worked in Human Resources/Recruiting for over thirteen years in a wide variety of organizations providing both tactical and strategic human resources support and solutions at corporate and subsidiary levels in pharmaceutical, high-tech (software and hardware) and agricultural/produce companies. She has extensive experience in the areas of recruiting, staffing processes and management, employee relations, employee retention, succession planning, organizational development and training. Her Human Resources experience has helped her hone her recruiting philosophy to focus on organizational/cultural fit, departmental fit, as well as technical fit. Vivi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources from San Jose State University.
Heather Kelsey, Senior Recruiter
Heather has over 15 years experience in sales and recruiting in the High-Tech and Bio-Tech industry. Prior to her most recent position as Senior Recruiter for PeopleConnect, she was co-owner of Intelligent Testing which is a software quality assurance based consulting firm. Heather’s experience in both sales and recruiting provides her exposure to all areas of a fast paced company. Whatever position you are looking to fill, Heather can identify your staffing needs, understand them and help you fill them.
Heather is focusing her talents in the sales and marketing industries, although she still has strong connections and customers in the high-tech and Bio-tech industry.
When Heather isn’t working she is enjoying her family and friends. She enjoys a challenge and always strives for excellence.
Joy Amin, Senior Recruiter
Joy Amin has been managing full cycle recruitment processes and delivering talent to companies across the nation for over 10 years. While her recruitment experience encompasses a variety of diverse skill sets, she has a keen interest in information technology, life science, and audio engineering. She often invests considerable time learning about new technical advancements, technology trends and how they relate to the companies in which she provides service to. This edification gives her a competitive edge when it comes to recognizing the difference between an exceptional technical fit versus a typical skill set match.
She strives to keep a meticulous eye for detail in order to uncover the unnoticeable and discern beyond the obvious. She views her recruitment skill as an art that is constantly being fine tuned to meet the individual needs of each customer. She sees the value in being proactive by digging for answers to anticipated questions and aiming to clearly identify what is most important to each customer. Trudi Simmons, Senior Recruiter
Trudi brings ten years of recruiting and human resources expertise to PeopleConnect Staffing. Her experience includes in-house Corporate recruiting, good old-fashioned headhunting, as well as consulting in Human Resource Management for large and small companies. She has successfully placed candidates from the administrative level to senior executives. Her approach with candidates and clients is gentle and personal, and she prides herself on making the first step of any search be an in-depth understanding of the company culture so she can look for the right match. Outside of work, Trudi is a passionate reader, a movie buff, and she makes sure to carve out time for her family and friends.
