The Lead Architect will help own the architecture of this sophisticated platform and will be responsible for evaluating new technical solutions, as well as integrations to a variety of other tools.

• Be intimately aware of the architecture of the company’s Unified Platform and guide the architectural direction of it
• Be able to break down feature requests into their technical solution, such that they can they be worked on by multiple resources
• Provide technical solutions to new problems we're trying to solve
• Help code some of the complex technical pieces, work with developers to get past technical hurdles
• Work with our customers to provide technical solutions to unusual situations unique to their environments and software
• Be able to grasp complex technical problems and be able to communicate them to people with varying degrees of technical expertise
• Work with the VP of Engineering to guide our FTE developers on good coding practices and solutions

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
• Knowledge on Javascript OOPS concepts and cross domain request handling
• Experience in any of the Javascript libraries such as Jquery, Dojo, Angular or Node.js Frameworks
• Proven working experience in Java EE development
• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience
• Good knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and Hibernate
• Proficient understanding of SVN versioning tool
• Knowledge of web services and SOAP / Rest
• Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, JQuery and AJAX
• Markup languages XML and JSON
• Knowledge of EC2, Softlayer, OpenStack, or other cloud provisioning platforms
• Good working knowledge of multithreading and synchronization
• Experience in a fast paced technology startup
• Experience working with remote teams
• Have worked for a company that produces enterprise or consumer software products.

• Knowledge of protocols (IP, HTTP, TCP) and Sockets
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Good web security understanding, such as OWASP Top 10
• Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery
• Experience with test-driven development
• Knowledge of some of this testing tools: JUnit, Jmeter, Sahi, SoapUI, TestNG
• Frameworks: Swing, SWT, AWT
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Proficient understanding of SVN versioning tool
