QA Lead Engineer (7007A)

LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Our Client is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) lead engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

Our Client is a leader in software for the digital supply chain, enabling companies to have the confidence that their intellectual property, processes, and products are both secure and aligned with established engineering standards. Their solution enables security, repeatability, traceability and quality in digital manufacturing. Their software protects and standardizes digital assets, coupling them with enforceable business and production policy, facilitating secure digital distribution, and providing manufacturing integrity.

The QA engineer role plays an important part in the company’s product development process. If you have an engineering and/or Computer Science background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, we’d like to speak with you.

Responsibilities of the QA Lead • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities • Design, develop and execute automation scripts. • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements for the QA Lead • Proven work experience in software quality assurance • Knowledge of and experience with network and cloud product environments • Experience with software security tools and techniques, including penetration testing • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing • Hands-on experience with automated testing and tracking tools • Solid knowledge of scripting and CI tools including BASH, Python, and Jenkins • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

It would be a plus if you had: • Domain experience in CAD, PLM, CAM, and/or 3D Printing • Programming experience in JAVA and/or C++ • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process • Experience with support and DevOps tools and techniques
