COO/CoFounder with Marketing (8077G)


Our client wants to make life better for people that work on their feet. To fulfill that mission our client has a completely new take on shoes for the working person. Stylish, comfortable, supportive, slip resistant, and smart design, at an affordable price. This early stage startup was founded by someone who worked 12 to 14 hours on their feet waiting, tending bar and other service type jobs that took a toll on their feet, knees, hips, and back. Determined to find a better way to save service industry people’s bodies from the rigors of being on their feet all day, our client designed and created truly function foot wear that people will actually want to wear! Customers would include restaurants/bars staff, nurses, doctors, retail workers, and anyone wanting comfortable foot wear to work in all day.

As the Chief Operations Officer (COO)/Co-Founder you will be handling the day to day operations of the business, be the strategist to the CEO’s tactical side. You will be data driven, are an IQ person, the one that analyzes what needs to be done, a thinker, yet have a creative side to lend a hand on the marketing side of the business. You know how to use both sides of your brain!

You have recent, within the last five years, retail/e-commerce experience at a successful company, able to work from yours or someone else’skitchen table while the business is expanded.

You are high energy, willing to work the hours needed to achieve business goals, yet able to have fun as a team. This is a very hands-on, roll up your sleeves and get stuff done position.

This is an equity heavy opportunity until funding in 3 months or less has been achieved. Market (startup) salary after funding has been secured.

The Chief Operations Officer (COO)/Co-Founder must haves:

  • Prior startup
  • 4 to 7 years in the role of senior operations leader
  • 2 to 3 years in a retail/e-commerce driven company
  • 2 to 3 years marketing experience
  • Firm understanding of business financials, budgets, etc.
  • Data driven
  • Strong strategic thinker, yet able to make a decision rapidly
  • Experience in developing, implementing and achieving KPIs
  • Excellent analytic skills.
  • Highly computer literate
  • Plays very well with others in the sandbox
  • Innovative thinker

Nice to have: Creative hobbies/experience such as photography, graphic design, fashion design, creative writing, etc.
